My First Digi Stamp Card

I started getting back into scrapbooking recently. I was drawn in by all the cuteness and of course my need to do something constructive and not destructive. (huzzah...) I discovered 2 Cute Ink and loved Heidi's drawing style. She has so many adorable digi stamps for sale, as well as some freebies. :) Not only that but she holds contests or "challenges" as she calls them. If you participate you have the chance to win free digi stamps from her store.

Seeing as how I enjoy entering contests, I couldn't pass it up. This weeks challenge is the Black, Orange, and Purple Challenge. I'm a newbie to digital stamps AND card making so I decided to go with the Candy Corn Bat freebie to try it out.

I used prisma colors blended with mineral oil to color in the bat and candy corn. (That was my favorite part because I love coloring.) Then I picked out some things from my mom's massive supply of scrapbook materials and put this together. Not bad for my first digi stamp card.

RedEnvelope Giveaway at The Girl from the Ghetto Blog

I entered to win The Girl from the Ghetto's $50 GC Giveaway to RedEnvelope. If you're like me, your Christmas budget is low this year and winning this could take it to the next level.

RedEnvelope has a variety of really nice products to suit just about anybody on your list. They have jewelry, clothing, holiday decorations, kids toys, neat little technological thingies, and much much more. It's a great site to find that item that you know they'll love.

Don't forget to check out the other giveaways at The Girl from the Ghetto Blog.

My Brother is Coming for Thanksgiving

My awesome older brother is flying in from Utah to visit us during the Thanksgiving week. I'm always excited to see him. One of our traditions is to go out to a good sushi restaurant during his stay. The other tradition is to go to the mall on the day after Thanksgiving, wonder why it's so crowded, and then realize that it's Black Friday. We have great timing. ;)
